The Little Colorado River-Cameron Community Vendors Association (L.C.R-C.C.V.A.) speak up on behalf of the vendors who sale at the First View Point on Highway 64. For nearly a decade the partnership between Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation (N.N.P.&R.) and the First View Point Vendors has been non-existing. N.N.P.&R. First View Point management do not represent the First View Point Vendors to their best interest. In a chain of events, management has cut the First View Point's business hours, taken a fence down with out considering the vendors concerns, and attempted to remove the vendors due to the N.N.P.&R. construction of a access road and a paved parking area that did not include the vendors booth site. The attempted removal was brought to the L.C.R-C.C.V.A.'s attention. In efforts to protect the First View Point vendors' source of income the L.C.R.-C.C.V.A met with the Navajo Nation Resource and Development Committee (R.D.C.) on August 23, 2017 asking for support in developing a positive and transparent partnership with N.N.P.&R. A presentation was delivered to all who attended the meeting. The importance of the livelihood was stressed upon by the Cameron community and the L.C.R.-C.C.V.A.

Currently, L.C.R.-C.C.V.A. and the Cameron Community await contact from N.N.P.&R. management team Martin Begay and Helen Webster.

Delegate Filfred

It's clear to me that the Parks and Recreation Department needs to reexamine the plans to the area. The vendors are highly concerned that they will lose business with the new project. There has to be  a c0nsensus for any developments.
